As material is loaded into the hopper, twin hydraulic cylinders move the material to the rotating Feed Roll. The Feed Roll is driven by a Low Speed High Torque hydraulic motor through a chain coupling. The speed of the Feed Roll is controlled by a flow control valve. A hydraulic pressure switch reverses the feeder assembly and the Feed Roll if the hydraulic system pressure exceeds the preset level. After a three second delay, the direction of the feeder and Feed Roll returns to normal.
