The heart of the Kid III patented grinding system is the massive 1400 pound balanced Rotor Assembly equipped with 44 (optional 80) pointed, heat treated and hard surfaced hammers.

The 32" diameter rotor assembly provides extra momentum to grind wet materials and other difficult to grind waste products. The rotor shaft is 13" in diameter and the rotor bearings are 2.5" in diameter for added strength and durability.

 Initial grinding takes place at the shear plate. The material and hammers then pass through stationary grinding fingers where final particle reduction takes place
